The Clothing Connection provides clothing to Salem children. Working with schools and caregivers, we choose clothing with each child’s sensory and style preferences in mind. In early childhood and elementary schools, we use a forms model, allowing staff and caregivers to request exactly what a child needs/wants. In middle and high school we use a closet model, allowing teenagers to choose their clothes.

Our experienced professional all-volunteer training staff works with the Veteran and their dog to train and certify them as a service dog team to perform tasks and help alleviate many of the symptoms combat Veterans battle daily.

Newhall Fields Community Farm is an agricultural gem in an urban setting for all of us to visit, cultivate, and enjoy. Accessible and beautiful, it fosters community spirit and encourages ‘learning on the land’ by cultivating farmland, preparing soil, planting seeds, raising and harvesting food, volunteering, educating, and hosting community events. Between May and October of 2020, Newhall Fields Community Farm has donated over 1,720 pounds of produce to Haven from Hunger.

Acord Food Pantry was founded in 1991 with the mission of empowering individuals and families to feed themselves in a nutritionally balanced way. We are a green, nondenominational, grassroots organization supporting the residents of Essex, Hamilton, Ipswich, Manchester, Topsfield and Wenham. We are a fully self-supported pantry and fill our shelves through food and monetary donations: as well as private, business and community grants.
